Nino de la Torre
storyteller | artist | creator
Nino de la Torre (They/Them) is a musical theatre performer, storyteller, and all-around creative dedicated to making impactful art that challenges norms and uplifts diverse narratives. They thrive in the fast-paced world of new musical development, frequently contributing to workshops, readings, and productions that help shape the future of theatre. Passionate about inclusive casting, Nino is all about breaking stereotypes and playing roles of any gender, using their versatility to bring unexpected and meaningful stories to life. Beyond performing, they’re also a writer, director, and photographer—constantly looking for new ways to tell stories that leave an impact.
Originally from Texas, Nino holds a deep love for their family, who aren’t just their biggest supporters but also some of their closest friends. When they’re not immersed in creative work, you can probably find them spending time with their parrot, Mango—a tiny menace who loves to cuddle but also BITE! Whether onstage, behind the camera, or shaping new works in the rehearsal room, Nino is always searching for ways to create, challenge, and inspire.
“Just because I don’t look like everybody else doesn’t mean that I can’t be just as beautiful.”
- Cynthia Erivo
